2011 NFL Preview > New England Patriots Preview2011 New England Patriots Football Preview
Head Coach: Bill Belichick 2010 Record: 14-2 (1st place in AFC East) Playoffs: Lost to Jets in divisional round (24-19) 2011 Free Agents ,Re-signings or Draft Choices: DT- Albert Haynesworth; WR- Chad Ochocinco; RB- Sammy Morris; OT- Matt Light; RB- Benjarvis Green-Ellis; OL- Nate Solder (draft) 2011 New England Patriots Schedule
2010 Review: The Patriots just do what they have been doing and that is win, with the impressive Tom Brady at the quarterback position the Patriots relied on his arm to get to the playoffs. Brady threw an incredible 335 passes without having an interception and he did many more things to lead the Pats to a 14-2 record in the regular season. With Brady finishing first in MVP voting it seemed as though the Patriots were well on their way to another Super Bowl game, but as we know it only takes one bad game in the playoffs and that game came against the Jets (not what they would have wanted). In 2010 the team committed an NFL- record low 10 turnovers during the whole season. The key for the Patriots this offseason will be to put more weapons around the consistent Tom Brady and sure up that young secondary.
2011 Preview: Let’s face it the Patriots should never surprise us during the offseason, as it seems that year in and year out they bring in key free agents for mere pennies, and this season is no different. Bringing Albert Haynesworth and Chad Ochocinco without losing anyone from the 2010 team was a key move that could pay off big in 2011. Will these two players be keys to another Super Bowl season only time will tell, but as for now the Pats are putting their faith in what is not seen as of yet. We know that Tom Brady will continue his hall of fame pace and throw in Wes Welker doing what he does every year and you know that Bill Belichick will have the team ready, not only to play but to compete.
2011 Prediction: 12-4 (1st place in AFC East)
