2011 NFL Preview > San Diego Chargers Preview2011 San Diego Chargers Football Preview
Head Coach: Norv Turner 2010 Record: 9-7 (2nd in AFC West) Playoffs: Did not qualify 2011 Free Agents ,Re-signings or Draft Choices: WR- Vincent Jackson; LB- Takeo Spikes; S- Eric Weddle; DL- Jacques Cesaire; S- Bob Sanders; LB- Travis LaBoy; DL- Cory Liuget (draft) 2011 San Diego Chargers Schedule
2010 Review: The battle for the Chargers began early in the season as all everything Vincent Jackson held out and remained a hold out for most of the season, also with the loss of key free agents the Chargers were looking to win their 5 th consecutive AFC West title but it was not meant to be. Phillip Rivers continues to prove that he is a solid quarterback in the NFL but the Chargers were a pass first, run second offense and that allowed many teams to focus on that. With a rookie at running back in Ryan Mathews, he was oft injured throughout most of the season something he will look to improve on in 2011 as will the San Diego Chargers.
2011 Preview: The Chargers find themselves ready to make a serious run in 2011, with Phillip Rivers coming into his role as an elite NFL quarterback things are looking good in San Diego. With the Chargers there is no doubt there will be points on the board, so the main focus this off season was on the defensive side of the ball and they improved tremendously. The key in this season will be the games against the Chiefs if the Chargers can show up and show out in these games they will get back on track and win the AFC West once again.
2011 Prediction: 11-5 (1st place in AFC West)
